Phytosanitary Barrier

A distinctive feature of NS 2672 is its robust immune system, which effectively resists soil-borne and airborne infections. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to:

• Fusarium (stalk and ear rot) — a critical factor during rainy autumn seasons.
• Grey and root rots, which are the primary causes of stalk lodging.
• Fungal infections of reproductive organs: common smut and head smut.

Integrated resistance to rust and various rots allows for significant savings on fungicide applications, minimizing plant stress and reducing the cost per ton of grain produced.

Agronomic Management and Plant Density

As a single-cross hybrid, NS 2672 is characterized by excellent crop uniformity, which is essential for consistent grain filling. Recommended plant density ranges from 45,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare. The choice of density depends on local moisture levels: in conditions of sufficient moisture or irrigation, it is advisable to aim for the upper threshold of 55,000-60,000 plants/ha, whereas in arid regions, reducing to 45,000-50,000 plants/ha is justified. This plasticity allows for tailoring the planting density to specific field conditions while maintaining productivity potential even under unfavorable climatic scenarios.
