A professional dual-action fungicide for comprehensive protection of cereals and fodder beet against key fungal diseases.
Description
Synergy of components: Why Medison 263 SC performs
The foundation of the Medison 263 SC fungicide lies in the combination of two robust active ingredients: trifloxystrobin and prothioconazole. This mix, representing the strobilurin and triazole classes, allows for effective control of pathogens by targeting different metabolic pathways of fungi.
Protection Mechanisms
- Trifloxystrobin: Provides contact and mesosystemic activity. It forms a protective barrier on the leaf surface that is resistant to wash-off and capable of redistribution in the gas phase, ensuring protection for untreated parts of the growing crop.
- Prothioconazole: Offers significant systemic effect. It inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol in fungal cells, halting mycelial growth. This provides both protective and curative action, suppressing infections even after they have penetrated plant tissues.
Technical Specifications and Application
Formulated as a suspension concentrate, the product ensures stability in the spray tank and uniform coverage of leaf surfaces. With a application rate of 0.7–1.0 L/ha, Medison 263 SC is optimized for protecting winter cereals (wheat and barley) against leaf spots, rusts, and head blight, as well as fodder beet against cercospora and phoma.
Operational Guidelines
To achieve maximum efficacy, it is recommended to conduct no more than two applications per season, with intervals determined by the phytosanitary situation. The pre-harvest interval (PHI) is 30 days. Given its systemic and contact nature, ensuring high-quality coverage of the vegetative mass during spraying is critical. The product is classified as Hazard Class 3, requiring standard safety precautions during handling and application.
