Gusar

The winter garlic variety Gusar is a mid-season, winter-hardy, and flowering variety that is ideal for growing in personal subsidiary holdings. The plant is characterized by green leaves with a waxy coating, reaching a length of 59 cm and a width of about 3 cm. The bulb has an oval-flat shape, weighs approximately 46 grams, and consists of 7 cloves. The appearance of the bulb features a lilac-purple coloration of the dry scales and a brownish hue of the parchment scales, while the garlic flesh is white. The taste of the garlic is spicy, making it versatile in cooking.

The Gusar variety is distinguished by high yield—up to 1.8 kg per square meter, and it does not require special growing conditions and stores well. Due to these qualities, the garlic is suitable for both household use and agricultural production. The variety was developed by Vladimir Grigoryevich Suzan and included in the state register in 2015, confirming its reliability and quality.
