Lyubasha

Garlic variety "Lubasha" is a medium-maturing winter type, developed by Ukrainian breeder Ivan Zakharенко. This variety is distinguished by high frost resistance, drought tolerance, and storability, enabling bulbs to retain their quality for up to 10-11 months without loss of market value. "Lubasha" is resistant to diseases such as neck rot and fusarium, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions in Ukraine.

Plants reach a height of 1 to 1.5 meters, with dark green leaves 35-45 cm long and 1.5-2.5 cm wide. Bulbs have a rounded-oval shape, white color with light blue-violet veins. Average bulb weight ranges from 80 to 150 grams, with 4 to 7 cloves; individual specimens may reach up to 375 grams. Garlic features a well-developed root system and large bulb size, contributing to stable and high yields.

The vegetative period of this variety lasts from 70 to 110 days, depending on growing conditions. Yield reaches 15-18 tons per hectare, and up to 35 centners under favorable conditions. Due to its rich content of essential oils and oiliness, "Lubasha" is valued not only for its taste but also for its long storage life. This variety is widely used as planting material in agriculture and is one of the best garlic varieties in Ukraine.
