Currant variety 'Kamenyar' (Svitiaz) is a hardy, high-yielding medium-ripening shrub successfully cultivated both in private gardens and on an industrial scale. The shrubs are vigorous and spreading, with moderate thorniness, which facilitates care and harvesting. The berries of this variety are dark red, medium-sized, weighing 5–9 grams, possessing a sweet dessert flavor, firm flesh, and thin skin, making them particularly attractive to consumers. Due to their quality, the berries store and transport well, which is essential for commercial cultivation.

The 'Kamenyar' variety exhibits high resistance to diseases, especially powdery mildew, and moderate resistance to anthracnose. It is cold-hardy and tolerates hot conditions, allowing cultivation in various climatic zones. The flowers of this variety are resistant to late spring frosts, reducing the risk of yield loss. The variety yields consistently high and stable yields, reaching 180–200 centners per hectare, and the shrubs respond well to irrigation, enabling increased productivity with proper care.

For successful cultivation of 'Kamenyar' currant, it is recommended to plant it in sunny, open areas. The variety is drought-tolerant, so watering should be infrequent but abundant. An important part of care includes regular pruning in spring and autumn to remove old, diseased, and unproductive branches, as well as scheduled fertilization, mulching, loosening, and weeding. Due to its cold hardiness, winter protection is not required, simplifying agrotechnology and reducing labor costs.
