A highly selective systemic herbicide providing complete control of grass weeds in soybean fields.
Description
Efficient Grass Weed Control in Soybeans
When perennial grasses like couch grass take over a soybean field, crop yield drops significantly due to nutrient competition. We have found Accol Max by Solantis Ukraine to be a reliable solution for this challenge. As a systemic herbicide applied directly to the leaves, it delivers effective results without compromising the crop's development.
Field Application and Rates
The product comes as an emulsifiable concentrate, which makes preparing the spray mixture easy and consistent. We typically use a rate of 0.5–1.0 l/ha, adjusting based on the density of the weed infestation. Since it is a post-emergence (insurance) herbicide, it allows us to wait and assess the actual weed pressure before applying, ensuring we only treat what is necessary.
Why it delivers results
The active ingredient, quizalofop-P-ethyl, works systemically. It quickly absorbs into the weed tissue, targeting not just the leaves but also the root system, which is vital for controlling persistent weeds like couch grass. Because of its selective nature, Accol Max is gentle on soybeans while being lethal to grass species. It carries a Class 3 hazard rating, so standard safety precautions during handling and application remain a priority.
- Broad-spectrum control of both annual and perennial grasses.
- Systemic action that destroys the root system, preventing regrowth.
- Easy-to-use liquid formulation for quick tank preparation.
- High selectivity ensures the soybeans remain healthy and stress-free.
For us, this herbicide is a staple for maintaining clean soybean crops. It is straightforward to manage, and by following the label rates, we consistently achieve a clean harvest without sacrificing yield to weed competition.

Depending on their ability to move through living tissues, herbicides are divided into contact and systemic. Contact herbicides cause local damage to plant tissue upon contact, which dies or gradually degrades. This action does not always completely destroy the plant; often, its... |
