The core molecular architecture of Albedo is engineered to inhibit the acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) enzyme. This is a critical node in grass weed metabolism, responsible for fatty acid synthesis required for cell membrane formation. Because dicot crops like soybeans or sunflowers synthesize lipids differently, the active ingredient is not recognized as a threat, ensuring high selectivity.

Systemic Dynamics and Penetration

The emulsifiable concentrate formulation was selected for its optimal lipophilicity, which allows the active ingredient to rapidly penetrate the waxy cuticle of weed leaves. Once applied, Albedo is translocated via both the phloem and xylem to reach the meristematic growth points.
