Developed through the partnership of «Jiangsu Institute of Ecomones Co., Ltd» (China) and «Unicity Enterprises L.P.» (UK), this product provides highly selective control over a broad spectrum of problematic weeds in wheat and barley fields.

Mechanism and Efficacy

Formulated as water-soluble granules, the herbicide is easy to handle and mix. As a systemic herbicide, it works by inhibiting the acetolactate synthase enzyme, which causes rapid growth cessation in susceptible weeds. The product is absorbed through the leaves, ensuring that target plants begin to die off within hours, with complete elimination occurring in 2–3 weeks.

Field Application

«Alfa-Star» is specifically designed for winter and spring wheat, as well as winter barley. It is highly effective against the following weeds:

• Field thistle and common ragweed.
• Common lambsquarters.
• Field pennycress and shepherd's purse.
• Cleavers, chickweed, and scentless mayweed.

The recommended application rate is up to 25 grams per hectare. Being a selective, post-emergence herbicide, it requires careful timing for a single application during the growing season to maximize its impact on competitive flora without harming the crop.
