A powerful soil barrier combining pendimethalin and terbuthylazine for reliable corn protection.
Description
Weed Control Technology: The Synergy of Active Ingredients
The efficacy of "Chaser - P" is based on the combined action of two key components: pendimethalin and terbuthylazine. This combination ensures systemic control of weeds in corn crops even before the emergence of the crop itself.
Pendimethalin belongs to the dinitroaniline class and blocks cell division in the meristematic tissues of germinating weeds. This creates a powerful soil barrier that prevents the growth of grasses and certain broadleaf species. Terbuthylazine acts as a photosynthesis inhibitor, targeting weeds through the root system. Together, they deliver a "double blow," preventing weed competition with corn during the most critical early growth stage.
Agronomic Application Features
- Soil Activity: The product forms a stable protective screen in the upper soil layer, which maintains its activity under optimal moisture conditions.
- Selectivity: The emulsifiable concentrate formulation is designed to reliably protect corn while effectively suppressing weeds without phytotoxic effects on the crop.
- Operational Flexibility: As a pre-emergence herbicide, "Chaser - P" allows agronomists to plan field operations in advance, eliminating the need for early post-emergence corrective treatments.
The recommended application rate is 4–5 L/ha, which, when following application protocols, ensures a weed-free field during the most vulnerable period for corn. Its systemic mode of action makes the product less dependent on surface precipitation compared to contact herbicides, thanks to active uptake by the seedlings' root systems.

Depending on their ability to move through living tissues, herbicides are divided into contact and systemic. Contact herbicides cause local damage to plant tissue upon contact, which dies or gradually degrades. This action does not always completely destroy the plant; often, its... |
