For growers utilizing the Clearfield® Plus production system for winter oilseed rape, Cleravo stands out as a reliable chemical tool. Developed by BASF Agro B.V., this systemic herbicide is engineered to provide robust control against a broad spectrum of challenging broadleaf weeds that typically threaten crop yields.

Chemistry and Mode of Action

Cleravo is formulated as a suspension concentrate containing Imazamox and Quinmerac. This dual-action composition not only targets emerged weeds but also provides residual control, essential for maintaining clean fields throughout the early growth stages of the crop. As a selective, post-emergence herbicide, it is absorbed through the leaves and roots, systemically disrupting the growth processes of targeted weed species.

Key Weed Targets

The product demonstrates excellent efficacy against a range of persistent field weeds, including:

• Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia);
• Common lambsquarters and cleavers;
• Scentless chamomile and cornflower;
• Shepherd's purse and field pennycress;
• Perennial sowthistle.

Application Standards

The recommended application rate is 1–1.25 L/ha, with a maximum of one treatment per season. Manufactured under strict BASF quality standards at facilities in France, the USA, Italy, and Germany, Cleravo ensures high stability and performance in the field. Classified as a Hazard Class 3 product, it requires careful handling in accordance with standard agricultural safety protocols.
