Gravir, SC is a systemic post-emergence herbicide produced by the Belarusian company Frandesa, based on the active ingredient isoproturon. Unlike non-selective herbicides, Gravir acts as a selective agent. Its mode of action involves disrupting photosynthesis in target weed cells by inhibiting electron transport in photosystem II.

Winter wheat possesses a unique metabolic mechanism that allows it to break down the active ingredient, neutralizing its toxic effects. Conversely, sensitive weed species are unable to perform photosynthesis, leading to their rapid cessation of growth and eventual death.

Control Spectrum and Technical Specifications

The product is highly effective against a broad range of broadleaf weeds, including troublesome species such as common lambsquarters, shepherd's purse, common chickweed, cleavers, scentless chamomile, purple dead-nettle, and field pansy. Its systemic activity ensures rapid absorption into plant tissues, which is vital during early growth stages.

• Dosage: With an application rate of 0.5–1.0 l/ha, the product provides the necessary concentration for effective suppression of weed vegetation.
