A reliable systemic herbicide for controlling a wide range of weeds in resistant sunflower crops.
Description
Efficient weed control in sunflower crops
The systemic herbicide Imidh (imazamox, 40 g/l) by Shandong Cynda Chemical is a proven solution for farmers growing sunflower hybrids resistant to the imidazolinone group. The product is designed to eliminate a wide range of broad-leaved and some grass weeds that compete with the crop for moisture and nutrients.
Application and efficacy
The main advantage of the product is its flexibility in application timing. It acts as both a pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide. Foliar application allows for effective control of such problematic weeds as ragweed, field bindweed, white goosefoot, and redroot pigweed. The active ingredient, imazamox, quickly penetrates plant tissues, blocking amino acid synthesis, which leads to a complete growth stoppage within hours of treatment.
- Application rate: 0.8–1.2 l/ha (depending on weed pressure).
- Regulations: only 1 application per season is allowed.
- Selectivity: the herbicide is highly selective and does not suppress resistant sunflower crops when the recommended dosage is followed.
Field experience shows the best results are achieved when Imidh is applied at the 2–4 true leaf stage of the crop. During this period, weeds are in the active growth stage, ensuring maximum efficacy of the herbicide's systemic action. Thanks to its water-soluble concentrate formulation, the product mixes easily with water and remains stable in tank mixes.
When handling the product, it is important to observe standard safety measures (Hazard Class 3). Imidh is a reliable tool for crop protection, helping to significantly reduce field weed density and unlock the full yield potential of sunflower hybrids.

Depending on their ability to move through living tissues, herbicides are divided into contact and systemic. Contact herbicides cause local damage to plant tissue upon contact, which dies or gradually degrades. This action does not always completely destroy the plant; often, its... |
