Inhibition of the acetyl-CoA carboxylase enzyme halts lipid synthesis, making the restoration of cell membranes in grassy weeds impossible.

The key advantage of Kelt is its selectivity. As a selective herbicide, it does not exhibit phytotoxic effects on dicotyledonous crops (soybeans, sunflowers), allowing for effective control of grassy weeds without the risk of suppressing the main crop.
