Technical Breakdown

• Desmedipham and Phenmedipham: These act as inhibitors of photosynthesis by disrupting electron transport within the weed cells. They are rapidly absorbed through the leaves, ensuring quick post-emergence control.
• Ethofumesate: This is the systemically active component that also provides soil residual activity. It penetrates through shoots and roots, inhibiting cell division, which is critical for suppressing subsequent flushes of weeds like ragweed and amaranth.

Both fodder and table beets are highly susceptible to weed competition during their early growth stages. As a selective herbicide, "Medifam Ultra" is designed to distinguish between the crop and unwanted vegetation. It effectively targets weeds such as white goosefoot, shepherd's purse, and common chickweed without causing phytotoxicity, provided the application rates are strictly followed.
