A selective post-emergence herbicide designed for effective broadleaf weed control in fodder and table beet crops.
Description
Systemic Protection for Beet Crops: Focusing on Efficacy
"Redox," produced by the "Fabryka Ahrokhimikativ" (Cherkasy, Ukraine), is a specialized post-emergence herbicide designed to protect sugar and fodder beet crops under diverse climatic conditions. Based on triflusulfuron-methyl, this systemic selective herbicide is formulated to address weed competition during the early stages of crop development, when plants are most vulnerable to resource deficiency.
Application and Weed Control Spectrum
The primary advantage of Redox is its high selectivity, allowing it to eliminate weeds without inhibiting the growth of beets. It is designed to target a wide spectrum of broadleaf weeds, including:
- Common lambsquarters (Chenopodium album) and redroot pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus).
- Wild mustard (Sinapis arvensis) and shepherd's purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris).
- Cleavers (Galium aparine) and purple dead-nettle (Lamium purpureum).
The systemic action ensures the active ingredient is absorbed through the leaves and translocated throughout the weed's vascular system, ensuring complete suppression. Presented as water-dispersible granules, the product ensures ease of mixing and uniform application over the leaf surface, minimizing the risk of runoff.
Technical Guidelines
As a professional-grade crop protection product, Redox is used at a rate of 0.03–0.05 kg/ha. The usage protocol allows for up to three treatments per season, providing flexibility for farmers to manage weed pressure based on specific field conditions. The herbicide is classified under Hazard Class 3, adhering to current safety standards for agricultural operations.
Developed and brought to market by the Vitagro Group, this product represents a local, efficient solution for Ukrainian growers. By suppressing weeds early in the growth cycle, Redox helps protect the potential yield of root crops, providing a reliable and cost-effective component for modern beet production programs.
