Roundup Classic, SL by Bayer is a global standard in the class of glyphosate-based herbicides. The core of its effectiveness lies in its systemic action: the active ingredient enters through the leaf surface and is transported via the phloem directly to the growth points and the root system. This is the critical technical advantage over contact herbicides, ensuring complete eradication of even deep-rooted perennial weeds.

Mechanisms of systemic action

• Translational efficacy: Glyphosate inhibits the synthesis of aromatic amino acids, leading to an irreversible disruption of the plant's metabolism. This method is highly effective against couch grass, field bindweed, and thistles, ensuring the entire underground structure is destroyed.
• Broad-spectrum versatility: Due to its non-selective nature, the herbicide is effective against both annual and perennial grasses and broad-leaved weeds, making it indispensable for field preparation before sowing vegetables, cereals, sunflower, rapeseed, and potatoes.
