A powerful soil-applied barrier that stops weeds before they emerge, ensuring a clean start for your crops.
Description
Sentinel, EC: A Reliable Foundation for Weed Control
Early-season weed pressure is the biggest threat to yield, which is why we rely on Sentinel, EC by Nertus for pre-emergence protection. By using this systemic herbicide, we eliminate annual broadleaf and grass weeds before they even compete with our soy, sunflower, corn, or peas.
Field Application and Performance
The product comes as an emulsifiable concentrate, which makes it very convenient for field operations. It blends easily into the tank mix without clogging the nozzles of our sprayers. Depending on the soil profile, we apply between 2.0 and 3.0 liters per hectare. It is a soil-applied herbicide, meaning it needs proper moisture to activate; we always check the weather forecast to ensure the active ingredients (propisochlor and metribuzin) can be absorbed correctly by the soil layer.
Key Operational Advantages
- Selective Action: Effectively targets weeds while keeping the crop safe and productive.
- Systemic Protection: Creates a long-lasting soil barrier that blocks weed germination.
- Versatility: With one product, we cover the needs of four major crops, streamlining our chemical management.
Sentinel, EC is designed for a single application per season. While it is classified as a Hazard Class 3 product, following standard safety protocols makes handling and application straightforward for the crew. It is an essential component for any farmer looking to get their crop off to a clean, stress-free start.
