The core of this product is the active ingredient quizalofop-P-ethyl (from the aryloxyphenoxypropionate group). It is a systemic graminicide that revolutionizes the strategy of controlling grass weeds. Unlike non-selective herbicides, "Taxon" from "Three Delta Company International" works selectively, recognizing the physiological differences between target crop plants and unwanted vegetation.

Weed Suppression Mechanism

The herbicide's action is based on blocking the acetyl-CoA carboxylase enzyme. As soon as the active ingredient molecules penetrate the leaf surface into the weed's meristematic tissues, they immediately halt lipid synthesis. The practical result for the agronomist: a complete cessation of weed growth within 24–48 hours after application. Visible chlorosis occurs after a week, and complete destruction of the root system (which is critical for couch grass) follows in 2–3 weeks.

Agrotechnical Advantages

• Systemic Action: The product is quickly redistributed throughout the plant, reaching growth points and rhizomes, which prevents secondary weed regrowth.

Application Regulation and Nuances

The emulsifiable concentrate formulation ensures stability of the working solution and high adhesion to the leaf plate. When treating annual grasses, the dosage is 1.0–2.0 L/ha, while for perennial species (such as couch grass), the rate increases to 2.0–3.0 L/ha. Due to its Class 3 hazard rating, the product is relatively safe when handled according to regulations; however, strict adherence to temperature regimes and weed growth stages is required to achieve maximum biological efficiency.
