The composition of "Tornado 500" is based on potassium salt of glyphosate with a concentration of 500 g/l (acid equivalent). The use of potassium salt rather than the standard isopropylamine salt is a key technical solution: it ensures high solubility of the product in water, accelerated absorption by weed tissues, and efficient performance under temperature stress or drought conditions when plant metabolism is significantly slowed down.

Translocation Mechanism

The systemic action of the herbicide is based on the active ingredient's ability to inhibit the EPSPS enzyme, which is critical for the synthesis of aromatic amino acids in plant cells. Due to its high systemic properties, the product penetrates through the leaf surface and is transported via the phloem directly to growing points and the root system. This makes "Tornado 500" an essential tool for controlling noxious perennials such as couch grass, thistles, and bindweed, where destroying underground reproductive organs is the primary objective.
