Mechanism of Action and Selectivity

Tsukron+ (Цукрон+) is a systemic herbicide formulated with clopyralid. Unlike contact agents, this compound is absorbed via the leaves and translocates systemically to the plant's growing points. Clopyralid acts as a synthetic auxin, disrupting cellular division and growth processes within susceptible broadleaf weeds. This disruption leads to the structural collapse of the weed's vascular system, ensuring the destruction of not just the foliage, but the entire root system—a critical requirement for controlling persistent perennials like creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense).

Technical Specifications for Application

As a selective herbicide, Tsukron+ provides effective weed control without compromising the yield of the primary crop. The water-soluble concentrate formulation ensures excellent tank-mix stability and high bioavailability, allowing the active ingredient to penetrate the leaf cuticle efficiently during post-emergence application.

• Target Spectrum: Highly effective against hard-to-kill species, including Cirsium arvense, Sonchus arvensis (perennial sow-thistle), Matricaria inodora, Acroptilon repens, and Centaurea cyanus.
• Application Method: Designed for post-emergence foliar application, allowing growers to target weeds when they are in their most metabolically active phase.
• Regulation: The prescription allows for a maximum of one application per season. Dosage ranges from 0.5 to 1.0 L/ha, depending on the weed infestation density and the growth stage of the target plants.

Due to its hormonal mode of action, the herbicidal effect is not immediate. Growers should expect to see the first symptoms of growth distortion within 3–5 days, while complete eradication of the root system occurs within 2–3 weeks.
