When you walk through a field where wheat is actively growing, the biggest headache is often the grass weeds that steal moisture and nutrients from your crop. The 'Zernoviy' herbicide by 'Presence' is a reliable tool that I personally use to keep winter and spring wheat fields clean without any unnecessary hassle.

Field application insights

The main advantage of this product is its selectivity. The active ingredient, fenoxaprop-P-ethyl, works precisely: it is absorbed through the leaves of the weeds, blocking their growth, while keeping the crop safe. My experience shows that it handles tough weeds like wild oats, barnyard grass, and foxtails effectively.

• Post-emergence application: Ideal for insurance treatment when the weeds have already emerged but have not yet critically suppressed the crop.

The oil-in-water emulsion is easy to work with due to its stability in the spray tank. I typically perform one treatment per season, which is sufficient to achieve the desired result. Given its Hazard Class 3, standard safety measures while operating the sprayer are essential. The pre-harvest interval is only one day, providing flexibility in planning field operations.

Operating tips

To get the best results, timing is key—target the phase of active weed growth. From my observations, the product works best when mass emergence of wild oats or ryegrass is noted. The most important thing is to avoid waiting too long so the weeds don't pass their sensitive growth stage.
