KPS Engineering: Balancing Weight and Geometry

The efficiency of the KPS cultivator in the field is defined not just by the presence of sweeps, but by the precise geometry of the frame and the distribution of weight across the working components. The main structural frame is made of structural steel with high fatigue resistance for high-speed operation (up to 12 km/h). The key technical feature of this model is the rigid central frame combined with spring-loaded shanks, which compensate for impact loads when hitting obstacles, preventing shank deformation.

Working Tools and Depth Control

KPS utilizes sweep shares with an entry angle designed for "self-sharpening" during operation. A critical structural aspect is the overlap of adjacent sweeps (typically 50-70 mm). This engineering solution prevents skips or uncultivated strips even if the unit drifts from a straight path. Working depth is adjusted via a screw mechanism, allowing for centimeter-precise settings, which is essential for seedbed preparation where a uniform seed-bed base is required.

Terrain Following Mechanism

Cultivator stability is maintained by a rocker-arm system. Unlike rigid designs, the KPS rests on wheel assemblies with individual height adjustments. This allows the unit to track the field's micro-relief, maintaining a consistent loosening depth. In practice, this results in uniform germination: seeds are placed at the same depth in the moist soil layer, minimizing yield loss risks caused by uneven crop development.

Field Maintenance

Friction points are equipped with grease nipples, and the number of moving joints is minimized to reduce daily maintenance time. The frame is designed for field-serviceability: replacing shanks or spring blocks requires only standard hand tools, eliminating the need for hydraulic presses.
