CURLY PARTNER

Curly Partner – a medium-maturing leaf lettuce type of Lollo Biondo, ready for harvest 65-75 days after germination. The plant forms an upright rosette with a diameter of 24 to 32 cm, consisting of bright green, finely curly-edged leaves with a fan-shaped form. The leaves have a tender, juicy and crisp texture, excellent taste without bitterness and a length of about 9-10 cm. The mass of one plant varies from 250 to 350 grams, which ensures high yields up to 5 kg per square meter.

The variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases such as rot, septoria and powdery mildew, as well as tolerance to light deficiency and resistance to bolting. Thanks to these qualities, Curly Partner can be grown in open ground throughout the season, as well as in protected ground and home conditions with additional lighting. The plant withstands transportation well and has excellent market qualities.

For planting, a row method is recommended with a distance between plants of 20-25 cm and a seed sowing depth of 1-1.5 cm. Thinning is carried out after four weeks, leaving a gap of 20-22 cm. The harvest is collected selectively as it ripens, cutting the heads with a knife and removing rotting lower leaves. Lettuce leaves are ideal for fresh consumption and can be used as a decorative element for meat, poultry and fish dishes.
