Description
Siberian Hercules is a mid-season variety of spring oats (Avena sativa L.) of the hulled type, characterized by high grain yield and excellent milling qualities. The plant has an erect bush with strong pubescence on the upper stem node, a medium-length stem, and a two-sided head with semi-upright branch arrangement. The grain is large, thick-seeded type, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 36.5 to 44 grams. Grain natural density varies within 420-540 g/l, indicating high quality raw material for processing.
The variety is distinguished by its resistance to major oat diseases, including crown rust, loose and loose awn, as well as moderate susceptibility to stem rust and root rots. Resistance to lodging and shattering is at a level slightly inferior to some standard varieties, however this is compensated by high drought resistance and stable yield. The vegetation period is 73-87 days, making the variety mid-season and suitable for cultivation in the West Siberian and Ural regions, as well as in the Steppe zone of the Omsk region.
Siberian Hercules is recommended for universal use due to high protein content (up to 13.5%), fat (about 4.6%) and starch (43.4%), ensuring excellent food and technological properties of the grain. Maximum yield of the variety reached 58.4 c/ha, confirming its high productivity and adaptability to various growing conditions. This variety is the result of breeding at FGBNU "Omsk Agrarian Research Center" and is widely used in agriculture to obtain high-quality grain with good milling characteristics.

Overall bulb harvest per unit area. Depends on both onion variety characteristics and agronomic practices, fertilizers, and irrigation. Under optimal growing conditions, an onion yield of 100 tons per hectare and above is not considered record-breaking. |
