Description
The spring oat variety 'YLOV' was created through interspecific hybridization with the participation of the Izhevsk Agricultural Academy and is characterized by high yield, disease resistance, and good environmental plasticity. It belongs to the mutica type—white-seeded, awnless, with a semi-closed, erect white panicle with a yellow tint of medium length. The variety is medium-early, maturing 3-5 days earlier than standard varieties such as Skakun, Astore, and Gambo, which allows for earlier harvest and increased seeding efficiency.
'YLOV' is characterized by high resistance to lodging, grain shattering, and drought, as well as to infection by crown rust, while being weakly affected by powdery scab. In state trials, the variety demonstrated high productivity, providing a yield increase to standard varieties from 2.4 to 6.9 c/ha at an average yield of 30.4-41.7 c/ha, with a maximum yield reaching 78 c/ha. These figures make 'YLOV' competitive over a large territory of Russia.
The grain of the variety is white, medium-fruited type, medium-sized with a mass of 1000 grains 33-35 g and hulliness 23-26%. The protein content in the grain is 13.9-14.1%, which is one percent higher than standard indicators, increasing its nutritional value. Due to the combination of quick ripening, high productivity, disease resistance, and environmental plasticity, the variety 'YLOV' is recommended for sowing in the Central, Volga-Vyatka, and Central-Black Earth regions, and is also successfully used in other regions of Russia.

Yield
Overall bulb harvest per unit area. Depends on both onion variety characteristics and agronomic practices, fertilizers, and irrigation. Under optimal growing conditions, an onion yield of 100 tons per hectare and above is not considered record-breaking. |
