Aruba F1 onion is a medium-late hybrid of bulb onion of Spanish type, developed by the Japanese breeding company Sakata. The vegetation period ranges from 100 to 120 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. The plant is characterized by a strong root system and well-developed foliage, which ensures good resistance to various diseases and contributes to high yields. The onion does not produce flower stalks, which is an important advantage for maintaining harvest quality.
Aruba F1 bulbs are large, round, with brown, strong, and glossy outer scales, diameter from 6 to 10 centimeters, and average weight from 120 to 250 grams. The inner part of the bulb is white, and the taste is medium-pungent, making this variety suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. The tough outer scales in multiple layers reliably protect the bulbs during mechanical harvesting, helping maintain product appearance and quality.
