Icepearl F1

Icepearl F1 is an early hybrid of white bulb onion, developed by Dutch breeders for long-term storage and cultivation under various climatic conditions. The maturation period ranges from 95 to 105 days, allowing for harvest within a relatively short time. The plant features a strong root system and well-developed leaf apparatus, ensuring high productivity and resilience to stress factors such as drought and high solar activity. The hybrid does not bolt, enhancing crop quality and ease of use.

Icepearl F1 bulbs have a round shape with dense, glossy white scales and a slender neck. The average fruit weight varies from 120–150 g to 350–400 g depending on growing conditions. Inner scales are firm, juicy, and crunchy, with snow-white flesh and a balanced medium-spicy flavor that may become bitter under insufficient watering. The onion has a pronounced aroma and high dry matter content, making it attractive for fresh culinary use.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to root rots such as fusarium and pink rot, as well as tolerance to bolting. Thanks to these qualities and its ability to retain flavor and appearance for up to 6–7 months, Icepearl F1 is recommended for cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine. Its long storage life and appealing appearance make this onion in demand on the market and convenient for commercial use.
