Description
Variety selected at the Saratov Experimental Garden Station and Saratov State Agrarian University named after N.I. Vavilov. Obtained by crossing the varieties Rumyannaya Berkut and Lyubimitsa Yakovleva. Author: G.V. Kondratyeva. Variety approved for the Lower Volga region since 2001. Medium-sized tree. Broad-pyramidal crown, densely leafed. Fruits borne on spurs, shoots, branches, and fruiting twigs.
Shoots grayish-brown, thick, curved. Buds not pressed, medium-sized. Leaves medium-sized, green. Leaf blade smooth with wavy edges, curved along the central vein.
Number of flowers per inflorescence from 7 to 9. Buds white, not double. Petal edges serrated in the center. Petals not closed. Stigmas raised above stamens. Stigmas free. Bud cup-shaped. Flowers medium-sized.
Fruits large, weighing 200–400 g. Fruit shape broad pear-shaped, surface warty. Main color yellow. Cover color as orange-red blush covering the entire fruit surface. Skin medium density. Subdermal spots medium, white, poorly visible, with rusting. Pedicel long, thick, with swelling at the base, slightly curved. Calyx small, medium width, with slight warty texture. Calyx half-open, saucer medium width and depth, warty. Seed cavity elongated, medium. Seeds elongated-oval, light brown.
Flesh white, juicy, semi-oily, slightly acidic-sweet, tender, with nutmeg aroma. Sensory evaluation 4.5 points. Fruit transportability good.
Early-bearing variety, begins fruiting on strong-growing rootstock on the 5th–6th year; yield up to 400 centners per hectare, winter-hardy, resistant to fungal diseases.
