Description
This variety was developed by A.M. Tveritinov, A.S. Volgodina, and L.A. Sevastyanova at the Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture from open-pollinated Renklo Yellow. Introduced to state variety trials in 1993.
The tree is medium-sized with a medium-dense, broadly oval crown. Crown foliage is moderate. Bark on the trunk and skeletal branches is brown with a grayish coating, rough, occasionally smooth. Shoots are thin, medium-length, hairless, straight, occasionally slightly curved, reddish-brown, with numerous, small, light-gray lenticels of medium density. Leaves are small to medium-sized, broadly oval, occasionally broadly inverted-oval, light green, wrinkled, matte, slightly hairy, convex, occasionally slightly concave, downward-curving, with a pointed apex, broadly wedge-shaped base, blunt-toothed, wavy margins, on short to medium-length, thin, pigmented petioles with lanceolate, medium-sized, early-falling stipules, glandular dots are small, yellow, oval, sparse, more often located on the petiole. Flowers are medium to large, white, loosely clustered, occasionally narrowly open (petals). Stigma is positioned above and below the anthers.
Fruits are small (15.0 g), broadly oval, asymmetrical, yellow, with a moderate waxy coating, slightly depressed apex, small shallow pit at base, weak ventral seam. Skin is of medium thickness, moderately easy to remove. Flesh is yellow, fibrous-granular, medium firmness and juiciness, tart-sweet, good flavor. Peduncle is long and thin. Detachment is dry. Stone is oval-egg-shaped, medium, light brownish, with blunt-pointed apex and base, finely pitted-surfaced, easily separates from flesh.
Flowering begins in the second to third decade of May. Enters fruiting on the 4th-5th year after grafting. Fruits ripen at the end of August to beginning of September, containing 18.7% dry matter, 2.55% organic acids, 14.47% total sugars, suitable for fresh consumption and processing (jam, preserves).
Moderately winter-hardy, medium-yielding, weakly resistant to diseases and pests, moderately drought-tolerant and heat-tolerant, self-sterile, easily propagated by grafting, moderate spring budding, and green cuttings in artificial mist. Pollinated by Tennykovsky Blue, Rakitovaya, Renklo Tennykovsky, Sineglazka.
Advantages of the variety: attractive yellow fruits, good flavor, heat tolerance, early fruiting.
Disadvantages of the variety: self-sterility, weak resistance to diseases and pests.
