ESTRELLA

The potato variety Estrella is a mid-early table variety of German selection, maturing within 65-80 days. The tubers are oval-shaped with yellow skin and tender yellowish flesh, weighing between 88 to 115 grams. The starch content in the tubers is 13-14%, ensuring its versatility in culinary use. This variety belongs to type AV, indicating excellent flavor when fried or baked, as well as suitability for soups and salads.

Estrella is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 38 tons per hectare, and a tuber count per plant ranging from 9 to 14. The plants are upright, up to 70 cm tall, facilitating care and harvest. The variety shows resistance to common diseases, including potato blight, golden potato cyst nematode, crinkly and striped mosaic. It is also moderately resistant to late blight of foliage and tubers, as well as leaf curl virus. Thanks to these qualities, Estrella is a low-maintenance and reliable variety to grow.

Potato Estrella exhibits excellent storage capacity — up to 95% — allowing it to retain its appearance and quality for a long period during storage. This variety tolerates drought and demonstrates stable productivity under various growing conditions.
