ETANA

The potato variety Etana is a seed-grade table variety with a medium-late maturity period, having a vegetation period exceeding 110 days. This variety is well adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine and features high yield, ranging from 240 to 383 centners per hectare, and up to 576 centners under favorable conditions. The tubers have a spindle-shaped oval form, weighing from 100 to 190 grams, with a pleasant yellow skin and a slight netting on the surface. The flesh is light yellow, soft, medium-starchy, and slightly watery, making Etana an ideal choice for making mashed potatoes, baking, and frying.

The variety belongs to culinary type C, characterized by high starch content, which ensures good boiling properties. Etana has high storability — up to 92% — allowing the harvest to be stored for a long time without loss of quality. Additionally, the variety shows resistance to common diseases such as common scab, rhizoctonia, and black leg, as well as moderate resistance to late blight, leaf curl virus, and mosaic diseases, enhancing reliability in cultivation under various conditions.
