KEMEROVCHANIN

Kemerovchani — a mid-early table potato variety developed specifically for Siberian conditions. The plant is tall, intermediate type, semi-upright in form, with medium-sized, open-type leaves colored green and dark green with strong wavy edges. Tubers are oval-round, uniform, with yellow skin and flesh, weighing 111–154 grams. Starch content in tubers is 15.5–16.4%, flesh has moderate cookability and slightly darkens when cut or thermally processed. Maturation period is 65–80 days.

The variety is characterized by high yield — market yield varies from 165 to 387 centners per hectare, up to 488 centners under optimal conditions, significantly exceeding other varieties. Tubers’ marketability reaches 79–97%, storability — 94%, ensuring long-term storage without quality loss. Kemerovchani has good to excellent taste qualities, making it popular for table use.

Kemerovchani is resistant to several diseases, including golden potato cyst nematode, potato cancer, fusarium, and late blight. It also shows moderate resistance to phytophthora blight and tuber rot, and relative resistance to alternaria. The plant is low-maintenance, requiring regular watering, fertilization, and hilling, and grows well on various soil types, including light and heavy soils. Tubers form 7–10 large tubers per cluster, contributing to high yield and product quality.
