PENGUIN

The "Penguin" remontant raspberry is a high-yielding variety featuring a compact shrub bush reaching up to 1.5 meters in height. The main shoot is sturdy and branches at the top, forming fruit clusters, which allows the bush to not require tying or support. Shoots have minor thorniness and differ in elasticity and strength, facilitating plant care. Bushes exhibit good resistance to heat and frost, enduring temperatures down to -25° C, although the variety's hardiness is rated as below average. "Penguin" raspberry berries are large, weighing 4-5 grams, with a round or blunt conical shape and a rich raspberry-dark-red color. The flesh is dense, sweet and sour, with high taste qualities and a pronounced aroma. Ripe berries remain on the pedicels for a long time without shedding, allowing the harvest to be collected over an extended period from late July to September. The yield is abundant—up to 5-6 kg of berries can be obtained from one bush. Berries are well-preserved both fresh and frozen. The variety is characterized by high yield and resistance to fungal diseases, making it attractive for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Due to the dense berry structure and long fruiting period, raspberry "Penguin" is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing and freezing. The compact bush size and the lack of need for tying simplify care and harvest collection, which is especially valued by amateurs and professional gardeners.
