Description
The NF638 raspberry variety is an early-ripening Italian selection, distinguished by large and aromatic berries. The bushes are compact, vigorous, with numerous flowering stems and small bottle-green leaves. Berries have an elongated-conical shape, a deep dark-red color with a slight skin gloss, and juicy flesh of a lighter shade. The flavor is sweet and distinctly aromatic, with an average fruit weight of about 40 grams, and yields up to 1 kg per bush with proper care.
The planting material is supplied from the certified European nursery Geoplant Vivai (Italy), where seedlings are grown according to the requirements of the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO) and national quality standards. This ensures high purity and health of the planting material, contributing to successful cultivation and high productivity.
NF638 raspberry prefers sunny locations and grows well on light to medium-textured soils with pH 5.0–6.5. For maximum yield, prepare the soil by applying 5–6 kg of organic and up to 40 g of mineral fertilizers per square meter, followed by deep tilling. Planting should be done after the prepared soil has settled. The variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses, exhibiting good winter hardiness and resistance to most pests and diseases.
