Fekla beet is a medium-early table variety distinguished by high yield and excellent taste qualities. The period from germination to technical maturity is 80-100 days, which allows obtaining root crops weighing from 190 to 500 grams with intensely dark-red, tender, and juicy flesh without coarse fibers. The root crops are round, smooth, and uniform, making them convenient for various culinary purposes.

This variety is versatile in application: it is used for preparing fresh salads, stewing with vegetables, under sauce, and also for stuffing. Thanks to excellent storability, Fekla beet is well stored during the autumn-winter period, preserving its taste qualities and freshness. The variety is resistant to bolting and relatively drought-resistant, which ensures a stable yield even under unfavorable conditions.

Growing Fekla beet does not require special skills and is suitable for various climatic zones. Sowing seeds is recommended in the open ground at the end of April – beginning of May at a depth of about 2 cm. For optimal plant development, regular watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilizing are necessary. Thinning seedlings is carried out in two stages: the first when the first two pairs of true leaves appear, the second – when the root crops reach a diameter of 2-3 cm. Such care contributes to obtaining a quality and abundant harvest.
