The breeding efforts of the originators (A.A. Mashtakov, A.Kh. Mashtakova, N.A. Mashtakov, and T.R. Strelnikova) focused on establishing a barrier against common pathogens.

• Verticillium wilt: genetically inherent resistance helps reduce pesticide pressure during the active vegetative growth phase.
• Late blight: due to the short ripening cycle (up to 90 days), "Irishka" matures before the peak of epiphytotic outbreaks, which is critical for high-risk agricultural zones.

Technical Specifications

Fruit morphology ranges from round to plum-shaped, making the variety versatile for both fresh market use and whole-fruit canning. The determinate growth habit results in a controlled plant height, simplifying maintenance in open-field conditions and temporary tunnel covers.
