Description
The fruits of the Megrez tomato have a classic plum shape, are uniform in size and weight (varying from 70 to 90 grams), firm, meaty, and possess a rich dark red color. The fruits have a sweet taste with dry matter content not less than 5.5%, making them an excellent choice for both fresh consumption and culinary processing. Due to their dense structure, the tomatoes are well-suited for mechanical harvesting.
The Megrez hybrid is characterized by high yield, exceeding 120 tons per hectare, and resistance to major tomato diseases such as Fusarium and Verticillium wilt, as well as bacterial diseases. Additionally, the plant demonstrates high tolerance to nematodes, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. All fruits are covered by leaves, which further protects them from external influences and helps maintain quality during harvesting and transportation.
