Description
The fruits of Tomato Sister have a round-pear shape, slightly ribbed and dense. In the immature state, they are green, and upon ripening, they turn bright red. The fruits are two-chambered, weighing 60 to 80 grams, making them suitable for fresh consumption as well as for whole-fruit canning. Versatile uses include salad preparation, pickling, and salting.
The hybrid can be grown both in open ground and in protected ground. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in March–April at a depth of 1–2 cm, with transplanting in the 2–3 true leaf stage. Seedlings are transplanted into greenhouses in April–May and into open ground in June, following planting schemes from 40x60 to 70x30–50 cm. After transplanting, plants require staking and suckering for optimal growth and fruit formation, achieving a yield of 60–70 tons per hectare.
