The fruits of this variety are round and spherical, weighing about 3.8 kg. Their surface is smooth, light green with wide dark green fringed stripes, without a net. The rind is of medium thickness and leathery, and light green in color when cut. The watermelon flesh is pink, juicy, and sweet, although fibrous and somewhat coarse, it has good taste qualities. The Lotos variety is distinguished by high marketable yield, reaching 38-49 tons per hectare, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. It has good transportability and storability, which allows preserving fruit quality during transport and storage. In addition, the variety is suitable for mechanized cultivation and harvesting, which facilitates agronomic processes and increases production efficiency. The Lotos watermelon is resistant to common diseases such as powdery mildew, anthracnose, and fusarium, which reduces the need for frequent application of protective agents and increases crop stability. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, the variety is well suited for garden cultivation and in various regions with suitable climatic conditions. Pink flesh makes the watermelon an excellent choice for fresh consumption and use in salads.
