Corinna

The winter barley variety Corinna is an early-maturing and vigorous type of barley, adapted for cultivation in complex climatic and environmental conditions. It is characterized by high resistance to major fungal diseases and adverse environmental factors, ensuring stable yields even under unfavorable weather conditions. Corinna has good winter hardiness and high drought tolerance, making it especially valuable for regions with variable climates and light soils.

One of the key features of this variety is its pronounced productive tillering and excellent spring regenerative capacity, which contributes to the formation of more productive stems and, consequently, higher yields. The variety responds well to nitrogenous spring fertilization, which allows for an additional increase in grain output. The yield potential of Corinna ranges from 6 to 9 tons per hectare, making it a competitive choice for agricultural producers.

Corinna is recommended for cultivation across all regions of Ukraine, including Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions. Seeding rates vary depending on sowing dates: early sowing (September 10–15) requires 2.8–3.0 million seeds per hectare, optimal (September 20–30) – 3.0–3.2 million, late (October 5–10) – 3.4–3.6 million. Seeds are packaged in 20- and 40-kilogram bags, which is convenient for various production scales.
