Description
Crockett bean pods are fleshy, dark green, 14–16 cm long, filled with white, tasty seeds. They possess excellent marketability, nutritional value, and versatility in culinary use. Young pods can be eaten fresh, sautéed with meat or eggs, boiled in soups, canned, or frozen. Due to their good transportability and resistance to rot and spot diseases, this variety is suitable for both market sales and processing, as well as home use.
For successful cultivation of Crockett beans, seeds should be sown when soil temperature reaches +12°C, with planting rates of 80–200 thousand plants per hectare depending on conditions. The plant prefers sunny locations and regular watering, especially in the evening. This variety is well-suited to various agroclimatic regions of Ukraine, making it a universal choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to obtain high-quality and flavorful green beans.
