The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Novoaltayskaya and Nordstar at the Siberian Institute of Horticulture named after M.A. Lisavensky. Introduced into the State Register in 2004 for the West Siberian region. Authors: G.I. Subbotin, V.N. Devandovskiy, N.V. Onischenko, N.I. Davydenko.
Bush is dwarf, up to 80 cm tall, multi-stemmed. Crown is spherical, medium density. Bark of branches is brown-dark red, smooth, with many small white lenticels. Shoots are straight, brown, with a reddish tint, with a gray coating on the sunny side, thin. Internodes are short. Buds are small, conical, flattened. Leaves are small, narrow, oval-elongated, base rounded-triangular, apex pointed. Leaf blade is smooth, dark green, matte, concave (boat-shaped), double-toothed, small. Petiole is short, thin, pigmented, purple, glandules small, yellow, barely noticeable, bracteoles medium, early-falling. Flowers are medium-sized, up to 2-5, rose-like, white, 18-22 mm in diameter, petal shape oval-elongated, 5-6 x 7-8 mm, buds pale pink, sepals 4-5 x 6-7 mm, oval.
Fruits are large, oval, non-uniform, average weight 4.5 g, single-colored bright red, flesh dense, juicy, red. Juice is light red. Peduncle is medium, 25-30 mm, thin 1.0-1.5 mm. Pit is medium, oval, 0.25 g. Fruit flavor is sour-sweet. Peduncle attachment to the fruit is medium. Fruits contain 15.68% dry matter, 9.72% sugars, 1.21% acids, 16.30 mg/100g vitamin C.
Fruits ripen in the third decade of July, transportability is medium. Shoots stop growing in the third decade of June, leaf fall ends in the third decade of September to the first decade of October, not heat-tolerant, not drought-resistant. Average yield per bush 2.9 kg, maximum 4.5 kg.
The variety is highly winter-hardy, productive, self-sterile, of universal use, insufficiently resistant to coccomyces, affected by 2-3 points during epidemics. Used in breeding for high winter hardiness, dwarfism, large fruit size. Best pollinators: Altai Lastochka, Selifersovskaya, Maximovskaya, Subbotinskaya, Zheleznaya.
Advantages of the variety: large fruits, dwarfism.
Disadvantages: insufficient drought resistance, affected by coccomyces up to 2.0 points.
