This variety was selected among seedlings of the 'Altayskaya Lastochka' variety from open pollination at the Siberian Institute of Horticulture named after M.A. Lisavenko. Introduced into the State Register in 2004 for the West Siberian region. Authors: V.N. Levandovsky, N.V. Onishchenko.
Medium-sized, multi-stemmed bush, up to 2 m tall. Round crown, medium density. Bark of branches gray-brown, smooth. Few small, dark-gray buds. Shoots straight, medium thickness, brownish-gray with a grayish coating, internodes medium. Buds obtuse-conical. Flower buds on one-year growth are often paired. Leaves medium-sized, medium width, inversely egg-shaped, base wedge-shaped, apex long-pointed. Leaf blade smooth, dark green, shiny, slightly hairy on the underside. Double-serrated edge, fine. Leaf petioles medium length, thin, pigmented, dark red-violet, glands small, yellow, round, barely noticeable, stipules medium, early falling. Flowers medium-sized, up to 2-5 per cluster, rose-like, white, 20-25 mm in diameter, petal shape oval-egg-shaped, 5-6 x 8-10 mm, buds rose-colored, calyx lobes 4-5 x 5-7 mm, oval.
Fruits broadly round, single-ribbed, 16 mm high, 19 mm wide, average weight 3.5 g, single-colored dark red. Flesh dense, juicy, dark red with a burgundy tint. Juice dark red. Peduncle medium — 30-40 mm, thin — 1.5-2.0 mm. Stone medium, oval, 0.25 g. Fruit flavor sour-sweet, pleasant. Peduncle attachment to fruit medium. Fruits contain 13.8% dry matter, sugars — 8.6%, acids — 2.9%, vitamin C — 19.8 mg/100g.
Fruits ripen in the third decade of July, transportability medium. Shoots stop growth in the first decade of July, leaf fall ends in the first decade of October. Heat-tolerant, drought-resistant. Average yield per bush 4.2 kg, maximum 9 kg. Variety is highly winter-hardy, self-fertile, of universal use, highly resistant to coccomyces. Selected for high winter hardiness, resistance to coccomyces, self-fertility. Best pollinators: Altayskaya Lastochka, Kristina, Subbotinskaya, Zheleznaya.
Advantages of the variety: annual fruiting, self-fertility, resistance to coccomyces and fruit rot, easily propagated by budding.
Disadvantages: poorly propagated by green cuttings.
