Origin of the variety — seedling of Leningrad black from open pollination. Breeders: A.P. Kruglova, G.I. Dymnova, E.E. Kaverin. Under state variety testing since 1998.

Large, fast-growing tree. Pyramidal, elevated crown. Predominant placement of fruiting formations on bouquet branches. Bark on trunk and main branches smooth, gray. Shoots thick, straight, red, bare. Buds few, small, white. Leaves large, broad, elliptical, short-pointed, dark green, wrinkled. Leaf blade flat, short-pointed, base rounded, no pubescence. Leaf margin serrated, stipules absent. Petiole short, thin, pigmented. Stigmas small (quantity 14 x 16), round. Inflorescences double. Flowers large, white.

Fruits medium-sized, one-dimensional, average fruit weight 4.6 g, height 24 mm, diameter 21 mm. Heart-shaped, apex rounded. Base of fruit with indentation, pit small. Absence of abdominal suture. Pedicel long, thin, detaches easily from branch, attachment to pit weak. Fruit color red, covering dark red. No lenticels. Skin tender, bare. Flesh dark red, tender, melting, cavity color uniform with flesh. Taste character — sour-sweet. Pit detaches easily from flesh, medium-sized, oval, smooth. Fruits one-dimensional, external appearance attractiveness — 4.5 points. Average pit mass — 0.2 g. Dry matter content in fruits — 14.2%; sugars — 11%; acids — 0.95%; ascorbic acid — 20 mg/100g. Taste evaluation fresh — 4.5 points, in processed products (compotes) — 3.8 points. Fruit transportability good. Main purpose of the variety — dessert.
