Description
This variety was obtained by crossing 'Zolotaya Loishitskaya' cherry with 'Rannaya Marka' cherry. Originator — All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Fruit Plants named after I.V. Michurin. Authors: B.L. Nikitin, G.G. Nikiforova, I.N. Zolotukhina, L.A. Deineka. Medium-growing tree with a medium-dense, spreading crown. Shoots are medium-sized, reddish. Numerous large, white stones. Leaves medium-sized, narrow, light green, smooth, shiny. Leaf blade is concave, without hairs, leaf margin is serrated-toothed. Stipules are short, early-falling, petiole is medium-sized, pigmented. Stigmas are small, two in number, yellow. Flowers are large, white. Inflorescence: triple flowers, stigma of the pistil positioned higher relative to stamens. Fruits borne on bouquet branches.
Fruits are large (5.0 g), one-dimensional, oval-shaped, with a rounded apex and wide depression. Base of the fruit has no indentations. Midrib is medium-deep. Pedicel is medium-sized, easily separates from the branch. Attachment to the stone is weak. Does not crack in rainy weather. Skin color is red, no lenticels, skin is tender. Flesh is pink, firm, juicy. Juice is red. Flavor is sour-sweet. Stone is egg-shaped, medium-sized (0.36 g), accounts for 8.3% of the total fruit mass, separates easily from the flesh. Biochemical composition: dry matter content — 17.91%, sugars — 15.36%, titratable acids — 0.85%, P-active catechins — 430 mg/100g, sugar-to-acid ratio 18.1, ascorbic acid — 8.25 mg/100g.
Semi-self-fertile variety. Enters fruiting on the 6th year. High annual yield. Flowering and fruit ripening are relatively early. The variety exhibits high drought and heat tolerance, and resistance to diseases and pests. Trees, shoots, and generative buds are winter-hardy. Flower buds are resistant to spring frosts.
Universal-purpose variety. Suitable for commercial cultivation.
