Mironivska 5

Clover species Mironivska 5 is an early-maturing, winter-hardy, and rain-resistant variety, intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 49 to 72 cm, have slender stems with 5-6 internodes, and form upright or slightly spreading bushes. Leaves are trifoliate, 30-45 mm long and 18-24 mm wide, with a characteristic pattern. Flowers are light-red, arranged in medium-sized inflorescences, and seeds are egg-shaped with yellowish-blue coloration. Green forage yield is approximately 955 centners per hectare, while hay yield is 219.2 centners per hectare. Protein content in the first cut hay reaches 17.3%, and fiber content is 28.8%; in the second cut, these values are 19.2% and 26.4% respectively. Leaf mass in hay varies from 52.8% to 67.5% depending on the cutting. The vegetative period from the start of spring growth to the first cut lasts 54-62 days, from the first to the second cut — 32-46 days, and until full seed maturity — 102-124 days. The 1000-seed mass is 1.80-1.88 grams. This clover variety is characterized by high productivity and is adapted to dry climate conditions, making it valuable for forage production. It ensures a stable yield of green mass and high-quality hay with high nutrient content, contributing to improved feed base for agricultural animals.
