Description
Mid-early maturing variety, obtained in the Vologda region from seeds of the 'E. Lefor' variety. Breeder V.V. Spirin. Included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Northern, Northwestern, Volga-Vyatka, Ural, and West Siberian regions in 1959.
Strong-growing, spreading bush with thin shoots angled upward, with drooping tips.
Leaves small to medium-sized, green, hairless, moderately shiny, non-waxy, slightly wrinkled, base mostly straight. Teeth medium-sized, sharp, not curled. Leaf color turns purple-red by autumn.
Berries small to medium, red, thin-skinned, very tasty, refreshing, with aroma.
Winter-hardy in Moscow and Vologda regions, moderately resistant to sphacelum, with high annual yield.
5 points. Stems long and green. Chemical composition: total sugars - 9.8%, titratable acidity - 2.0%, ascorbic acid - 23.8 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, productive, average multi-year yield is 7.0 t/ha, maximum - 12.3 t/ha (2.1-3.7 kg/plant), self-fertile, versatile use, resistant to powdery mildew, weakly damaged by fire blight.
Advantages of the variety: winter hardiness, good yield, resistance to powdery mildew, weak thorniness of shoots.
