Description
Amursky Potapenko is a red grape technical variety developed in Russia and belonging to the Amur Grape species (Vitis amurensis), which distinguishes it from most cultural varieties belonging to the Vitis Vinifera species. This variety is unique for its exceptional frost resistance: the above-ground parts of the bushes withstand temperatures down to -35...-40°C, which allows growing it without covering even in the conditions of the Moscow region. The bushes have medium or high vigor, and the shoots ripen well, which contributes to stable high yields.
The leaves of Amursky Potapenko are of medium size, netted-powerful, and weakly lobed, with a hairless lower surface. The clusters have a cylinder-cone shape, are dense and of medium size—about 150 grams. The berries are round, of medium size, blue-black in color, covered with a dense waxy bloom, and their pulp is juicy. Due to its technical characteristics, the variety is widely used for winemaking, while wines made from this grape are distinguished by good quality.
In addition to high frost resistance, Amursky Potapenko has resistance to fungal diseases and phylloxera, which makes it especially valuable for growing in regions with an unfavorable climate and impoverished soils. It is capable of growing even with a groundwater level close to the surface, which expands the possibilities of its cultivation. All these qualities make the variety a reliable choice for viticulturists seeking a stable yield in harsh natural conditions.

Yield
Overall bulb harvest per unit area. Depends on both onion variety characteristics and agronomic practices, fertilizers, and irrigation. Under optimal growing conditions, an onion yield of 100 tons per hectare and above is not considered record-breaking. |
