Effective protection for beet crops against a complex range of weeds in just one or two passes.
Description
A Technological Breakthrough for Sugar and Fodder Beet
The Conviso® Smart system, centered around the Conviso 1 80 OD herbicide, is transforming weed management in beet production. Farmers choose this solution to tackle aggressive broadleaf and grass weeds without the risk of phytotoxicity to the crop. Thanks to its systemic action and a unique blend of active ingredients (thiencarbazone-methyl and foramsulfuron), the herbicide rapidly penetrates plant tissues, halting weed growth at the cellular level.
Practical Application in the Field
The herbicide performs best when applied post-emergence. Its selectivity allows for treatment on crops with natural resistance to its components, eliminating the narrow application windows required by traditional tank mixes. This provides agronomists with more flexibility during the critical stages of crop development.
- Wide-Spectrum Control: reliably clears fields of ragweed, pigweed, white goosefoot, cleavers, shepherd's purse, mustard, and field bindweed.
- Grass Control: highly effective against common barnyard grass, reducing the need for additional graminicide applications.
- Application Technology: the oil dispersion (OD) formulation ensures superior adherence and quick penetration through the waxy cuticle of weeds. The application rate is 1 L/ha, with 1–2 applications per season.
By streamlining weed control, this herbicide reduces machinery traffic, saves valuable time, and minimizes crop stress, leading to higher yields and cleaner fields at harvest time.

By type of action
Depending on their ability to move through living tissues, herbicides are divided into contact and systemic. Contact herbicides cause local damage to plant tissue upon contact, which dies or gradually degrades. This action does not always completely destroy the plant; often, its... |

By application method
Based on the method of application, herbicides are divided into foliar, soil, and root herbicides. Foliar herbicides are applied to vegetative plants and act through their above-ground organs. The main method of application for such preparations is spraying using sprayers or airp... |

Herbicides are classified according to application timing into pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides. Pre-emergent herbicides are mostly soil-applied or granular formulations applied before the emergence of crop plants. They are applied either pre-sowing (during pre-sowing cu... |
