The herbicide "Fabian, v.d.g." (water-dispersible granules) is a specialized formulation developed by ZAO Firma August to address weed pressure in soybean crops. Its efficacy relies on the synergy of two distinct active ingredients: imazethapyr and chlorimuron-ethyl. This combination is engineered to target a wide spectrum of annual broad-leaved weeds by inhibiting their vital biochemical processes.

Technical Breakdown of the Formulation

• Systemic Mechanism: The herbicide enters the weed through leaves and root systems, moving swiftly via the vascular system (xylem and phloem). This systemic approach ensures total distribution of the active agents, leaving no room for weed survival.
• Dual Biochemical Blockade: Imazethapyr (imidazolinones) and chlorimuron-ethyl (sulfonylureas) work together to block the production of essential amino acids and inhibit the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme. Without these, cell division in growing points stops immediately, leading to the irreversible death of the weed.

The product's form as water-dispersible granules ensures technical superiority in the field. It dissolves cleanly in water without clogging spray nozzles or creating residue in the tank.
